TASK GROUP MEETINGS RESPONSE REQUIRED by September 12:
Please review the Preliminary Agenda and email April (april.ctr.horner@yfaa.gov) to let her know which 
Task Group meetings you plan to attend. Some Task Groups continue through more than one Task Group 
session, so be sure to include the date/time of the Task Group meetings you will attend. It is best to plan to 
attend the meeting until its end each day, because required shuttle transportation to the remote parking lot 
will be provided at the end of the day. Some Task Groups will offer virtual participation. Please contact 
your Task Group lead directly if you are interested in participating in that Task Group meeting virtually.

MEETING REGISTRATION ON FAA FIRE SAFETY WEBSITE:
I will send an email later today with meeting registration information. Registration will close September 12, 
2023, due to required visitor security request processing. Be sure to register early so I can start your visitor 
request process. Some additional information will be required when you register on the FAA Fire Safety 
website.

NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION OR LATE REGISTRATION:
We will not be able to accommodate anyone attempting to register after the September 12, meeting 
registration cutoff date or any on-site registrations due to security request processing procedures.

FAA TECHNICAL CENTER IS A SECURED FACILITY:
Visitors will park in the remote parking area and walk to the Gate 18 area to check-in with FAATC Security 
Personnel and pick up their visitor and attendee meeting badges. From there, they will be shuttled to the 
Main Building. A Fire Safety Branch team member will be at the door to let meeting attendees in and direct 
them to the Auditorium. Visitors require escorts while on FAATC property. It is best to plan to attend the 
meeting until its end time each day as visitors must ride the shuttle to the remote parking area. All visitors 
must be escorted off the property as well.

FAA TECHNICAL CENTER IS A SMOKE FREE FACILITY:
Smoking is prohibited inside all FAA Technical Center buildings. Smoking is only allowed in designated 
smoking areas outside of facilities. Smoking will only be permitted during scheduled breaks in the agenda 
as return access to the buildings requires an escort to unlock the doors.

LUNCH BREAKS:
We are planning for all attendees to purchase their lunch in the FAATC Cafeteria. It is located in the same 
building as the Auditorium. The Cafeteria offers a variety of sandwiches, a hot and cold item salad bar, 
soups, a grill, burgers, daily specials, sides, cookies/brownies, and a variety of hot and cold 
beverages. The Cafeteria accepts credit cards and U.S. currency.

NO FAA TECHNICAL CENTER TOURS:
It is not possible to offer FAA Technical Center tours during the meeting week, so no tours will be offered.
